*Although the payment method Card does not support chargeback by the buyer, they can still open a dispute with their bank. If the buyer wins such dispute, a penalty of 20€ will be charged

How to activate Redsys in Uelz

To set up the Redsys payment gateway and offer your customers the option to pay by card with one of the leading processors in the national market for its security and effectiveness, you must follow these steps:

  1. Go to Settings > Payment Methods.
  2. Enable the Redsys payment gateway through Global Payments or on your own.
Before Starting
The percentage rate charged may depend on each type of activation:

a) Manage it through Global Payments (official partners of Uelz)
  • Transaction fee: 0.5%.
b) Manage it through your own bank.
  • Price negotiation usually ranging between 0.4% and 0.7%.
  • Gateway activation between 2 and 3 weeks.

Activation through Global Payments

To activate Redsys through Global Payments, you must send an activation request to the email [email protected] attaching the following information:

If you invoice as a company:

  • Certificate of CIF (Tax Identification Code)
  • Power of attorney of the legal representative (possibly the constitution deeds or powers of the administrator)
  • NIF/NIE (Tax Identification Number) of the legal representative
  • Bank receipt dated less than 3 months old or certificate of account ownership.
  • Mobile phone number of the company administrator
  • Approximate annual turnover and average ticket.

If you invoice as a freelancer:

  • NIF/NIE/DNI (National Identification Document)
  • Census Declaration (forms 036/037).
  • Bank receipt dated less than 3 months old showing the current account to which payments will be credited, the name of the account holder, and the name of the bank.
  • Mobile phone number of the company administrator.
  • Approximate annual turnover and average ticket.

Self-activation through the bank

Redsys works directly through most banks in Spain, and before setting it up on Uelz, it is essential to contact your bank to request activation of your account.

For this purpose, the bank will request the following information:

  • Tax ID (CIF) of the account holder
  • Commercial name you want to appear in the virtual store
  • Fiscal address (must match the one displayed on your website)
  • Technical Contact (contact person responsible for integration)
  • Phone and email associated with the POS terminal
  • Website URL
  • Account number

Additionally, it is important to specify the following to the bank:

  • Mode of use:Brief explanation of the company and the product and service offered, and the intention to integrate the Redsys payment processor into our payment management platform (uelzpay) to collect payments from our customers.

    • Via payment link: this case, it is important to explain that the payment is not made on the website but on the Uelzpay platform, and that the payment page clearly specifies the merchant, the product and service being purchased, the price, and the terms and conditions of use.
    • Through the website

  • Type of payment: Monthly/annual/quarterly subscriptions... / one-time payments. (All types of transactions to be carried out must be specified)

  • What we need:To activate Redsys in Uelz, we will need:

    1. Merchant code
    2. Terminal number
    3. Merchant key

  • Set up Redsys through Uelz.

Once your bank has activated your Redsys account, you should log in to Uelz and go to the section:

  1. Go to Settings > Payment methods and search for Redsys in the list of available processors.
  2. Click on "Connect".
  3. A modal will open, enter the required Redsys account details: Merchant code, Terminal number, Commerce key.
    If the data is correct, your payment gateway will be activated.
  4. You can activate or deactivate Redsys by sliding the switch button
